Luxury Borders hotel, the Roxburghe, required relaunch PR following a refurbishment of its public spaces. At the top end of the country hotel market, good reviews and recommendations within UK-wide travel media were essential to boost business.

Idea
Our travel and tourism team secured new photography of the hotel and launched this to the travel media. We targeted reviews in quality publications and high end press trips, and secured inclusion in scoop-ups. Social media was an essential tool for showcasing the hotel’s people and offering.

Impact
Overall the relaunch secured a significant increase in bookings, particularly from the South East. UK-wide newspaper travel coverage and wide reaching online travel sites endorsed the hotel following press visits. Sectoral media targets, such as the country sports and golf press, also reviewed the hotel, bringing interest-focused enquiries. Group bookings increased as a result of business tourism media coverage too.
