Bellfield Brewery is the UK’s first dedicated gluten-free brewery. However, microbreweries compete for coverage in a crowded media space. They asked us to help them ‘punch above their weight’ to get coverage in trade media that would generate new customer enquiries and interest from UK wholesalers and distributors.

Idea
We designed a series of high-impact media stories that focused on Bellfield’s points of difference, along with news of its continuing expansion. Working with the in-house team we created image and video-led content to leverage social media channels.

Impact
We achieved 52 pieces of coverage in trade and general news media over a four month period. Bellfield attracted immediate interest from several wholesalers and distributors, bar and restaurant chains and premium outlets in London and the south east, which is a key market for the brewery. Some 12 months since launching, Bellfield is listed with all the main wholesalers in Scotland, has secured two valuable UK-wide contracts and is already exporting to Singapore and Switzerland.
This work won a PRCA Dare Award in 2017. The judges said:
