The Rock Trust supports homeless youth in Scotland and the Sleep Out is their annual fundraiser. Participants sleep outdoors for a night and we help to raise the profile of the event.

Idea
We invited Deidre Brock MP, then newly elected, to support the charity in their launch photocall and produced some fantastic images in Edinburgh’s Festival Square, with the Usher Hall and Edinburgh Castle in the background. These images were the backbone of the PR and social media campaign and included supporters from Tesco and HSBC.

Impact
We secured coverage on the inside page of both the Scotsman, Herald, the National and the Edinburgh Evening News along with substantial online coverage. Participation in the Sleep Out doubled from the previous year, funds raised increased by a factor of 2.5 and social media engagement and impressions exceeded our targets.
