Donaldson Timber Engineering (DTE) is one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of engineered timber products and was looking to raise its profile within the UK construction industry to increase sales. We needed to reach a niche but varied audience, including housebuilders, merchants and social housing providers.

Idea
DTE is a family business and values its reputation for reliability and collaboration. We placed a new safety product (SafeStep) at the core of a proactive campaign but also increased general brand awareness in the media, online and through public and trade events. We secured opinion and comment pieces for DTE’s managing director as well as promoting the company’s product offering.

Impact
In the course of a year, DTE averaged almost three features a month along with other positive coverage across six target industry sectors. Speaker opportunities resulted in sales enquiries and our work on the DTE website vastly improved the Google profile. SafeStep was also shortlisted for a Housebuilder Product Award.
