Gleddoch hosts beauty and bubbles evening for charity

4th September 2018

Gleddoch, the prestigious hotel, golf and spa resort, is hosting a high tea evening in its Imperia Spa to raise money for Breast Cancer Care, the only specialist UK-wide charity providing support for anyone affected by breast cancer.

The high tea will take place on Thursday 11 October from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. and will coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For only £15, guests will be treated to high tea and a glass of bubbles for a good cause. An Elemis representative will also be on hand to demonstrate the brand’s latest products, including those offered in the hotel’s spa.

Gleddoch’s Imperia Spa offers a range of massages, scrubs, wraps, facials, and hand and foot therapy suitable for those undergoing various cancer treatments. All of the beauty staff has undergone training with the Jennifer Young charity ‘Beauty Despite Cancer’ to learn massage techniques in order to provide the best possible spa experience.

Speaking about the event, Paula Watt, Spa Manager from Gleddoch said: “Cancer touches most of us in some way, and one in eight women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Raising money for research is just a small contribution we can make to finding a cure for this terrible disease. And ensuring that we have a range of treatments in our Imperia Spa that are suitable for people undergoing cancer treatments is another small contribution we can make to helping patients and their loved ones navigate a very difficult time.

Our high tea fundraiser is going to be a fantastic evening and we’re looking forward to welcoming people to the hotel to support this really worthwhile cause.”

The Imperia Spa is one of the newest and most acclaimed premier spas in Scotland. With unrivalled views over the Clyde Estuary and Renfrewshire hills beyond, the spa is uniquely placed to offer a memorable and luxurious experience in a country setting, but only 20 minutes from Glasgow city centre.

Set in 360 acres of Scottish countryside, Gleddoch comprises 75 contemporary ensuite bedrooms and suites, and also features spacious conference, events and wedding facilities, as well as a Championship golf course.
