Edinburgh Landmark Venue, The Hub, Appoints New Head of Hospitality

 

Edinburgh’s stunning landmark venue, The Hub, has appointed Martin Burns as Head of Hospitality.

Martin brings a wealth of experience to the role, with specific expertise in catering for large-scale events at venues such as the Sheraton Hotel and Spa; ARAMARK and Prestonfield House Hotel.

He has a strong background of managing the day to day business of large scale and luxury event venues.  Previous employers include Heritage Portfolio where Martin was involved in prestigious events including the Royal Garden Party, the Chanel Fashion Event at Linlithgow Palace and dinners for up to 1000 people at the National Museum of Scotland.

In his new role at The Hub, Martin will be responsible for ensuring events are managed professionally and flexibly for clients and he will oversee the management of the Hub Cafe.  He will be working alongside the excellent existing suppliers and also introducing new ones.  Martin will play a key role in developing The Hub into one of the finest and best-skilled hospitality venues in Edinburgh.

The Hub, at the top of the historic Royal Mile is one of Edinburgh’s most dramatic venues.  The magnificent Grade A Listed building is renowned for its integration of contemporary design and facilities within classical Victorian architecture.  It has a richly decorated Main Hall, elegant Dunard Library and vibrant Cafe Hub which are ideal for gala dinners, weddings, ceilidhs, exhibitions and special events that demand a creative edge.
