Stir up Christmas with events at the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School

6th October 2016

Edinburgh New Town Cookery School (ENTCS) has a few slots remaining within its Christmas party packages for 2016.  Ideal for small to medium-sized groups who want a foodie twist to their Christmas night out, the events are creative experiences staff will never forget.

Whether groups wish to cook for themselves or not, the school has something for everyone. Groups of up to 20 can don their aprons and create a three course meal before enjoying it in the school’s stunning dining room, or take up one of the more creative, themed experiences.  Options include packages where guests can make canapés, roll their own sushi, create delicious tapas, or learn how to make pasta from scratch. And if a spiced up Christmas is more appealing, the Asian Street Food Sessions involve cooking up some unusual Asian Street foods using lots of spices and flavours.

Each of the Christmas packages includes wine and/or beer, the chance to eat the prepared food and enjoy the surroundings of the gorgeous pillared kitchen and stylish dining room.

For groups of 20 or more seeking something less hands-on, the school offers cooking demonstrations followed either by tasters of the food demonstrated or a meal with wine; or beer and food matching sessions where guests explore beer and food using top quality Scottish produce, and locally produced craft ales.  Another option is a wine tasting or a Festive Fizz session with wines/fizz chosen by a wine expert.

Fiona Burrell, ENTCS principal, says:  “If the traditional corporate Christmas is not your thing, we have something so much more creative and fun for your team! Our Christmas Party packages are a great alternative and are a sociable way for groups of work colleagues to come together to both learn and have a good time.”
