John set up Morhamburn as a specialist media relations and public affairs consultancy in 2005. Morhamburn joined forces with Pagoda PR in November 2010.
John leads on a number of major client accounts, including Consumer Focus Scotland, Carnegie UK Trust, and the British Psychological Society, for which he provides a mix of media relations and public affairs advice. John has a particular speciality in health and medicines policy, leading the accounts of several key clients as part of the continuing work of Morhamburn.
He has previously spent 17 years working as a journalist for Radio Forth, STV and the BBC, where he was an Editor of their flagship Good Morning Scotland programme. He has also been the Editor of Holyrood and Parliament magazines, before entering the world of public affairs as Managing Director of Grayling in Scotland.
John is currently the Treasurer of the Association of Scottish Public Affairs, having previously been Convener. He is also on the board of the charity CrossReach.
