Keith Geddes
Policy Director
Keith specialises in public affairs in both public and private sectors and has extensive experience in local government, planning, housing and education policies. Current clients include Applecross, George Wimpey City, Boyack Homes, JS Crawford, Forth Ports E-Rail and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
Before joining Pagoda he held a number of senior positions in local government including President of the Convention of Local Authorities (1996-1999), Leader of the City of Edinburgh Council and chair of Lothian Region's Education Committee. During his time in local government he pioneered the development of a number public/private projects and was a leading advocate of democratic renewal in local government.
He has served on a number of public bodies including Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish Arts Council and was a member of the Consultative Steering Group on the Scottish Parliament. In 1998 he was awarded the CBE for political and public service.
A qualified teacher and community worker Keith has a close interest in lifelong education and widening access to education.
He is currently a Chair of Greenspace Scotland and Vice-Chair of Scottish Natural Heritage. He is also a member of the Accounts Commission Board
