Keith specialises in public affairs in both public and private sectors and has extensive experience in local government, planning, housing and education policy.  Current clients include Alliance Boots, McCarthy & Stone, First ScotRail, and Colleges Scotland..

Before joining Pagoda he held a number of senior positions in local government including President of the Convention of Local Authorities Leader of the City of Edinburgh Council.

He has served on a number of public bodies including Scottish Enterprise, the Accounts Commission, Scottish National Heritage, Greenspace Scotland and the Scottish Arts Council.  He was also a member of the all party Consultative Steering Group on the Scottish Parliament.  He was awarded the CBE for political and public service.

In 2010 he was appointed to Chair the Central Scotland Green Network, one of the Scottish Government's 14 national priorities identified in National Planning Framework 2.

A qualified teacher and community worker Keith has a keen interest in lifelong education and widening access to education. He contributes regular opinion pieces to The Scotsman.
