Community Consultation
Too often community consultation and engagement remain a paper exercise to gain acceptance of proposals that have already been worked out.
At Pagoda we work in partnership with organisations and companies to challenge this approach. We believe that effective community consultation should have a real impact on decision making. Our work with QMD Consortium is a good illustration of this.
We typically manage community engagement programmes that combine media relations, face to face communication, on-line and printed publicity in way that maximises the impact on the relevant target group.
We've developed our own persuasive communication model which focuses on the communicator’s credibility with the target groups. We are experienced in using third parties to shift perceptions as our work on the London 2012 bid in Scotland demonstrates.
Much of our work involves two-way communication, where future phases are informed by feedback and research. We've devised a range of innovative methods to engage communities and tease out their views - both qualitative and quantitative.
Our experience of community consultation and engagement is wide ranging and includes local government, health and voluntary sectors. We specialise in the housing and property sectors.
We can:

- implement the strategy for you, from organising meetings and consultation events to providing expert advice on how to work with the local media
