How to Cook Up a Perfect Politician

Pagoda has been working with the Electoral Commission in Scotland on a number of pro-active campaigns to increase voter awareness and engagement, particularly amongst younger people (15-25 yr olds). We recently organised a Breakfast Event to launch the Commission's new Democracy Cookbook - a toolkit containing a variety of activities to encourage young people to take an interest in politics and the democratic process. An MSP from each of the political parties was invited along to host a table of school pupils and university students, who had the opportunity to try out the activities. The article was published as an educational feature in the Herald's Society magazine on Tuesday 7 March The Democracy Cookbook is now available free of charge to schools and youth groups across the UK.
