Scotsman, 23 April 2004
A public park costing more than ?20 million, that will be twice the size of the Royal Botanic Garden, is to be created in Edinburgh Ian Wall, EDI’s Chief Executive, said: “We sometimes forget that open space only enhances the quality of life if it is attractive or accessible to people. We need to put the same level of energy and inventiveness into how we manage our open spaces as we do our new building developments.

Pagoda PR was retained in January 2003 to provide corporate PR support to The EDI Group Scotland, the development company which is owned by The City of Edinburgh Council.

EDI works alone and in partnership with the public and private sectors to carry out property projects that are not only profitable but bring architectural, environmental and economic development benefits. EDI’s wide ranging project portfolio includes office developments, retail properties within Edinburgh’s Old Town, Edinburgh Park, the long-term regeneration of Craigmillar, Princes Street Galleries, the Science Centre, New Freer Street at Fountainbridge, and residential and individual schemes throughout Edinburgh.

Pagoda PR works alongside other PR consultancies who handle PR for EDI’s individual projects, to shape and manage the reputation of EDI in the UK national, Scottish and specialist property media.

We have secured a large number of news stories about new and planned developments and several major features pegged to the 15th anniversary of the company. We are now managing the publication of a book to celebrate the company’s achievements and future plans.
