New management at Dundas Castle

Five star venue, Dundas Castle, has welcomed a new face to its management team, with the appointment of Louise Andrew to the role of General Manager.

Louise brings a wealth of experience to the role, with specific expertise in working with prestigious venues, following four years as Head of Sales and Marketing at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. She has a strong business development and sales background, and has achieved success with previous employers such as Grant Management LTD, STV and IPC Media.

Originally from Kent, Louise has lived in Edinburgh for 16 years and is passionate about bringing customer service and a quality experience for guests. Situated outside Edinburgh, 17 bedroom Dundas Castle is a five star exclusive-use venue suitable for group events, corporate meetings and weddings and is one of Scotland’s finest and most exclusive venues.

The castle has recently introduced five star glamping facilities on site and as General Manager, Louise will be the driving force behind other new ventures and business growth.

With her extensive experience, the team is thrilled to have her on board. Commenting on Louise’s appointment, owner Sir Jack Stewart-Clark said: “Louise is an excellent addition to the team here at Dundas. Her experience and achievements in sales management are second to none and we were particularly impressed with her ability to build strong teams and produce results. We look forward to her input at Dundas Castle.”

Louise added: “I am so happy to have the opportunity to work alongside Sir Jack and his team. Coming to work here each day is an absolute privilege; Dundas has so much to offer both corporate and private clients, national and international – and what a wonderful place it is to be! I am sure that over the coming months and years we will be able to build on the success this fantastic business, home and estate has achieved to date.”

Dundas Castle is an 18th century home featuring turrets, impressive staircases, sumptuous bedrooms and roaring fires.  Popular for weddings and corporate getaways as well as family parties and group events, the Castle features its own 600 year old keep, a private squash court and the spreading lawns and woods of the Estate. Situated on the loch, the Castle also offers self-catering within its romantic getaway, the Boathouse.
