Meet the Author – Diana Henry at the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School

 

Join Diana Henry, multi award-winning food writer, journalist, broadcaster and cook book author, on Tuesday 13 September for a lunchtime teacher-student reunion with her former teacher, Fiona Burrell, at the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School (ENTCS).

Originally from Northern Ireland, Diana Henry turned to food writing after completing a cookery diploma at Leiths School of Food and Wine where she first met Fiona Burrell, now principal of ENTCS. Diana is now the Sunday Telegraph’s food writer and the author of ten books including ‘Crazy Water, Pickled Lemons’, ‘Cook Simple’, ‘Roast Figs, Sugar Snow’, ‘Food from Plenty’, ‘Salt, Sugar, Smoke’, ‘A Change of Appetite’ and ‘A Bird in The Hand’.

Fiona will talk to Diana about her career so far, her cook books and in particular her latest book ‘Simple’ which focuses on effortless food with big flavours. The interview will be followed by a Q&A session, a tasting of some mouth watering samples of Diana’s recipes, and a book signing.

Tickets for this unique student-teacher reunion are £10 which includes a £5 discount on purchases on the day of Diana’s book which normally retails at £25.

The event runs from noon to 1pm.
