Event Management at Scottish Parliament
Cross Party Group Garden Lobby Event, Scottish Parliament
Based on our experience of running events at Holyrood, a Cross Party Group asked us to manage an event to support the initiatives for management of a specific long-term condition.
What we Did
- We worked with the secretariat of the CPG and the sponsoring MSP
- We drafted Guest list to include patients, clinicians, patient groups and representatives
- We drafted speeches for key speakers
- We project managed the event, including catering requirements
Results
- The Cross Party Group was able to concentrate on promoting its core objective: advancing access to treatment, services and support for the thousands of Scots suffering from the long-term condition
- The event saw the Public Health Minister appoint a senior clinician to oversee efforts to improve care and also receive significant national and local media coverage
